Beautification Committee Homes Showcase

It is always so hard to select the 'Homes of the Month' since so many front gardens are beautiful. The choices were difficult but the Beautification Committee has selected the following homes as 'Homes of the Month'. They were either nominated by members of the community or selected by the committee for their attractive flowers and/or shrubbery. Look for the 'HOME of the MONTH' sign at each of the houses pictured below! Congratulations to this month's winners!

The Beautification Committee would like to thank Tim Hionis, owner/operator of Lincoln Avenue Flower Market, for providing flowers for the planters lining Route 28, and the planters in front of the police station. He also provided the plantings for the Lincoln Statue, the entrance to Victor Crowell Park, the Veterans Memorial in front of the library, the Fire Department Memorial, and the plantings near The American Legion. Another big thank you goes to the Girl Scout Troops of Middlesex who spent the week before Memorial Day planting all these flowers!

Last month a name was inadvertently omitted from the home at 25 Princeton Drive. We would like to commend Annette Guardabascio.

The Homes of the Month program will now continue throughout the summer. If you would like to nominate someone’s home for August please e-mail nominations to: prepenn@hotmail.com or call: 516.644.9940 before the 5th of August. Please include the address of the house and your phone number in the message.
