Middlesex Borough to hold Redevelopment Public Input Sessions

Posted in Middlesex News

Middlesex Borough will be hosting a series of public input sessions to discuss the future of the Lincoln Boulevard Redevelopment Plan. All meeting sessions will be held at 7 p.m. at the Borough Council Chambers on the dates listed below.

Mayor Ron DiMura, Borough Council and Economic Development Specialist Colin Driver are inviting residents to attend and review the original visioning process and public input that led to the creation of the redevelopment plan.

“The Lincoln Boulevard Redevelopment Plan is now 10 years old, it was the outcome of a public vision and input at that time. Much has happened since that time, a financial crisis, a significant change in attitudes and habits of younger people, empty nesters looking to downsize and much more, “ added Colin Driver, the Borough’s Economic Development Specialist. “The Borough recognizes that the Plan needs to reflect the changes that have taken place over the past decade and is inviting the Public to discuss with the Economic Development Committee how and what they would like to see the area redevelop.”

The preliminary dates and focus points for these public meetings are as follows:

  • February 22, 2018 - Review Town Center Area
  • March 22, 2018 - Review Gateway Area
  • June 28, 2018 - Review West Market Area
  • August 23, 2018 - Review Transition Areas
  • October 25, 2018 - Recap and Additions

Participants will be able to discuss their ideas and concerns about redevelopment with the Economic Development Committee and Borough professionals. All residents are encouraged to attend.
